Information We Collect

We collect account information such as email address, name, authentication data, plan status, and last active date. We also store domains, monitored source URLs, target URLs, anchor text, check schedules, webhook endpoint URLs, and monitoring results you create in the app.

How We Use Information

We use this information to authenticate users, run backlink and DR checks, enforce plan limits, send transactional emails, deliver webhook events, process billing, improve reliability, and prevent abuse.

Third-Party Providers

BacklinkGuard uses third-party providers for email verification, transactional email, payment processing, and external SEO data. We send only the information required for each provider to perform its function, such as an email address for verification or a saved domain for Domain Rating snapshots.

Webhook Data

If you configure webhooks, BacklinkGuard sends event payloads to your endpoint. You are responsible for the endpoint you provide and for protecting any data received there.

Retention

We retain account, billing, monitoring, event, audit, and Domain Rating snapshot data while your account is active or as needed for security, compliance, debugging, and billing records. Archived domains and backlinks may remain in backups or audit records.

Security

API keys and provider secrets are stored server-side and are not exposed to the dashboard. We use signed cookies, rate limits, URL safety checks, and webhook signatures to reduce abuse and unauthorized access.

Your Choices

You can update or remove domains, backlinks, and webhook endpoints from the dashboard. For account deletion or privacy requests, contact [email protected].
